Boosting the uptake of circular integrated solutions in construction value chains.

CIRC-BOOST aims to promote circular economy practices in the building and construction sector. Funded under the Horizon 2020 framework, this European initiative involves partners from various countries, including universities, research institutions, and private companies.
The project’s main goal is to enhance circular solutions in construction through digital and technical innovations. These include creating urban material databanks, developing digital twins, and improving processes for recycling and reusing construction waste. CIRC-BOOST implements five pilot projects across different European regions to showcase integrated solutions on a large scale. These projects demonstrate effective methods for managing construction waste, from demolition to recycling and repurposing it into new products.

DRAXIS, a key partner in this project, plays a crucial role in developing the digital tools and platforms needed for effective data management and communication between the pilot projects. DRAXIS focuses on creating and maintaining the digital infrastructure that supports the project’s objectives.
Furthermore, DRAXIS performs Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Costing (LCC), and social Life Cycle Assessment (sLCA) to evaluate the environmental, economic, and social impacts of the project. DRAXIS’s expertise ensures that the digital aspects of the project are user-friendly and capable of supporting the overall goals of promoting circular economy practices.
