GreenFit is a project designed to accelerate the adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices by addressing key barriers faced by farmers. It brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of research institutions, technology providers, agricultural stakeholders, and community organizations. The project harnesses cutting-edge technologies including AI-powered decision support systems, IoT sensors, drone-in-a-box systems for crop and soil monitoring, and extended reality (XR)-based training tools.
GreenFit goes beyond technological solutions by strengthening digital infrastructure, promoting value-chain cooperation, and driving behavioral change within rural communities. A strong emphasis is placed on building capacity through hands-on workshops, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge-sharing platforms. A notable feature is the LLM-based AgriChatbot, which supports farmers in real-time decision-making, complemented by innovative soil and crop health tools.
By embedding climate resilience into agricultural value chains, the project aims to achieve long-term environmental and socio-economic sustainability. Its community-led approach ensures that rural actors take ownership of the solutions, enhancing both local impact and scalability. GreenFit is positioned as a key initiative to empower rural Europe against climate risks while fostering economic opportunity and sustainability.
As project coordinator, DReVen is responsible for the overall strategic and administrative management of the GreenFit project. DReVen ensures the technical coherence of all work packages, facilitates seamless collaboration among partners, and guarantees timely delivery of outputs. It oversees the consortium’s internal operations, compliance with Horizon Europe regulations, and reporting to the European Research Executive Agency.
DReVen also plays a central technical role in the development and deployment of several core digital tools, including the AI-based AgriChatbot and components related to the decision support system. Furthermore, it leads the integration of IoT and drone-based monitoring tools, ensuring their interoperability within the digital infrastructure.
Beyond technical implementation, DReVen leads the project’s dissemination and stakeholder engagement strategy. This includes organizing capacity-building activities, promoting the adoption of climate-smart practices through hands-on workshops, and ensuring visibility through digital channels and networks. The company brings strong experience in climate adaptation, agricultural digital services, and multi-actor engagement, which are critical for achieving GreenFit’s impact goals.
