Platform for the collection, validation, distribution and management of big Earth Observation data
The objective of BISEC is the development of a service for the discovery and collection of in-situ and satellite data to enable stakeholders who make use of such kind of data to easily detect and use open big data by contacting only one single provider. BISEC will exploit open earth observation data provided by global, governmental and private operators, while its data crawling service will collect geospatial in-situ data from certified in-situ sensor networks, crowdsourcing from citizens, IoT devices, structured web information sources (FTP, API, etc.), other unstructured and free data sources on the web (e.g. portals).
