The project ICME (Integrated Coastal Monitoring of Environmental Problems in Sea Region and the Ways of Their Solution) aims at developing innovative tools for the monitoring and management of sea regions with pilot implementation in four countries (Greece, Georgia, Armenia and Turkey). In Greece the study is focused in Thermaikos Gulf area, with the development of an operational tool for the hydrodynamic modeling of the gulf. The tool, which was developed by DRAXIS, combines the ELCOM hydrodynamic model with the WRF meteorological forecasting model, in order to simulate the dydrodynamic conditions of the study area. The Web GIS application developed for the project is available at: http://draxis-gis.com/icme/
The project results will be presented at the conference to be held on Thursday 19 November 2015 at the City Council Hall, Thessaloniki City Hall.
